Overselling is selling
more disk space or bandwidth per hosting
account than actual capacity on the server,
with the expectation that most people will
never actually come close to using their
full quotas. So a hosting company that
oversells can sell at least 10 or even 100
times the amount of space and bandwidth PER
SERVER than each server is actually capable
of handling. This is how hosting companies
can offer huge amounts of space and

practice allows many accounts per server,
